Satisfied with the RODE NTG2 mic, the signal-to-noise ratio is very acceptable, a purchase with eyes closed, quality product, I record wildlife and plant sounds or musical ones... and the first tests in a few hours are ok, it gives me less work in post-production compared to my low-end mic, cool! Excellent mic! Whether for ambient sound, dialogues, speech, or an acoustic instrument, near or far, it is very effective. The low-cut filter and the windscreen are very useful for close recordings (avoiding plosives and sibilants) and against breath noises caused by movements. However, outdoors it is better to buy a more effective windscreen (which is recommended in the manual). The slot for an AA battery is also very useful and replaces the +48V power supply, which saves the recorder's batteries. I had no problems, except that you have to check that the battery cover is properly closed, otherwise it will move the connector and make a lot of noise. So I recommend it!

I just ordered it, I received it very quickly and this microphone is simply wonderful, background noises are quite quiet and the voice capture is direct.
