Combre JOUBERT CLAUDE-HENRI - METHODE DE VIOLON VOL.1 32 leçons POUR LES DéBUTANTS

Description

This method, which is a revised and expanded adaptation of the alto method by the same author, is intended for young children (6 to 12 years old). It can be used for 18 months to 2 years.
Students can start violin and music theory at the same time, with no prior study required.
This method can only be used with the help of a teacher who will, from the very first lesson, provide students with good principles regarding instrumental posture and bow hold.
The entire method can be used in individual lessons but also within a group teaching framework. All duets, trios, and quartets can be played alone (or with the teacher's accompaniment). In any case, each part of the ensemble pieces can be practiced.
The popular songs used are often unknown to children. That is why the lyrics are included. They should be sung...
The exercises are deliberately very short. They are always directly related to the pieces they precede. It is not always necessary to work on all of them – too many exercises and pieces are planned for each lesson! In a group teaching context, it will be easy to distribute them. In any case, it will be useful to revisit lessons already worked on. Some elements can be used for short sight-reading exercises.
Bowing positions are quite often indicated (but not always).
The students' imagination is frequently solicited in a very brief and simple way. For the author, this is not a break, but a strong and foundational element of a violinist's musical and technical education.
