Description
The original Cry Baby set the rules of the wah-wah art, but it was perfectible. Dunlop has evolved this historical model. The 95Q takes over the three most popular enhancements to make it the perfect Cry Baby.
Often copied, never equaled. Since the invention of the Cry Baby in 1967, many brands have focused on the wah-wah effect to propose the best possible declination with strong technological innovations for simplified use. The problem is that despite the ingenuity of these imitators, the essential was still not there: none could reproduce this superb grain, both round and aggressive, which slice in any distortion . In other words, the sound of the Cry Baby.
A family resemblance. It was then that Dunlop took charge by changing the design of its wah-wah to the perfect balance between useful innovations and ease of use to achieve the 95Q. The "Q" in the name refers to one of the two buttons found on the side of the pedal, which controls the width of the band affected by the wah, for a wider and more discreet or centered and clearly audible effect. .
It's the foot ! The other button of the Cry Baby 95Q controls the volume of the boost that is triggered via the red footswitch located on the other side. This increase in volume up to 15 dB fits perfectly with the idea that we generally have the wah-wah, that is to say, an effect that we engage for the solo, when a boost volume is never wrong. Finally, the last change, called "auto-off", is a system that automatically detects if your foot is on the pedal for a smooth and easy start. All that is the charm of the Cry Baby is there, with a little something extra.
The GCB95Q is based on the original Cry Baby, with 3 options that make it one of the most interesting Wah in the Dunlop range:
- Q control to adjust the intensity of the Wah. - Boost up to + 15dB gain - Auto-return: automatic activation
- Design without switch: automatic activation as soon as the foot activates the pedal. - Automatic stop and pedal return to the raised position as soon as the foot is removed. - Q control to customize the type of wah, allows you to get all the sounds, from the sharpest to the creamiest, from the highest to the lowest. - Boost adjustable up to + 15dB to highlight the effect either in a subtle way in rhythm or on the contrary with an extreme level for soloists. - Jacks in / out ultra-rugged, can withstand thousands of connections. - Red Fasel inductor isolated against microphony - Bypass with buffer to place the pedal anywhere in the chain of your effects, without loss of sound. - Battery access by clipped door under the pedal - Power supply: 9V battery or MDU ECB003E power adapter.
