With the increase in air fares, musicians tend to reduce the size of their pedalboard. Of course, on a miniboard, a standard size Cry Baby takes up far too much space for a single effect. It is therefore to meet this need that Dunlop has designed the CBM95 Cry Baby Mini.
Nature hates emptiness. When you open a Cry Baby Standard like the GCB95, it is still amazing to see the few elements that make up its circuit. So they could fit in a much smaller box. But so far, guitarists found it more comfortable to have a pedal that could support the full length of their foot. It was therefore inevitable that Dunlop came up with a smaller sized Cry Baby.
Mini without sacrifices. Despite its small size (it occupies half the space compared to its big sister), the CBM95 is not for all that a Cry Baby at a discount, quite the opposite. The bypass switch does not darken the sound when the wah is not engaged, the inductor is still the famous Fasel, and especially the pedal offers the full range of usual sweeping, low-mid to high- medium.
Three voices for a single baby. But the CBM95 Cry Baby Mini pushes the flexibility further than the GCB95 through an internal selector that gives the choice between the three most popular wah voicings of the brand. H (for high) takes the sound of the GCB95, M (medium) evokes the bluesy scraping of the Wah Vox while L (low) resumes the grunt of the Cry Baby Hendrix. It's up to you to choose the wah that's right for you, all in a format that fits in your hand!
