Thanks to downloadable expansions via Roland Cloud, it evolves alongside your setup while remaining compatible with scenes/sounds from the FANTOM-6/7/8 (playback of enabled functions only).

Features and Innovations

Its engine combines virtual-analog subtractive synthesis "ZEN-Core" with "SuperNATURAL Acoustic" models (preloaded pianos/electrics) and the "VTW" tonewheel organ. "Model Expansions" (EXM series) add additional generators. The palette exceeds 3,500 tones and 90 kits, expandable via EXZ/EXSN/EXM series. Performance is enhanced by 16 zones with "Tone Remain" (excluding VTW), an arpeggiator, "Chord Memory," "Motional Pad," and versatile PAD modes.

For production, the 16-track sequencer manages patterns (up to 32 bars) with real-time, step, or TR-REC recording, featuring tactile piano-roll editing/automation and a zoom microscope.
