Reference headphone amplifier
The N22H's headphone amplifier offers a flat frequency response of 0.8 Hz to over 250 kHz and ultra-low distortion (0.0009% THD + N, 100 kohm load) allowing it to power the headphones with clean and transparent signals for mixing and mastering operations. There is also enough power (up to 950mW per ear) to drive the headphones of musicians playing at high sound levels! With its carefully calibrated high and low power modes, the N22H can be quickly tuned for maximum performance with high impedance on-ear headphones or low impedance in-ear headphones with the flick of a switch. Custom level control also allows precise control of the headphone output. The N22H can be powered using the included 9V DC power supply as well as any 9V DC guitar pedal power supply (center negative). It can also be powered by a 9V battery for up to 10 hours of battery life in low power mode.
Advanced connectivity with C.A.S.T.
Using a C.A.S.T. from Cranborne Audio, the N22H can be effortlessly positioned where it's needed with just one cable and up to 100m away. C.A.S.T. (Cat 5 Analogue Snake Transport) distributes analog audio (including 48V phantom power) in studios and on stages using affordable Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 7 shielded cables, to achieve the sonic results the highest at the lowest cost. Connect the N22H to the passive N22 from Cranborne Audio using a single shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable and you can send a headphone mix directly to the N22H headphone amplifier over a distance of 100m. You can then connect the mic / line signals directly to the combi-jack inputs of the N22H and they will go through the same C.A.S.T. to get to the XLR outputs of the N22, ready to connect to your audio interface for recording.
