The Reason series brings new concepts to become the top of the line professional audio speaker series in the Wharfedale Pro portfolio! The X12 and X15 models feature three separate speakers. One 1to handle the high frequencies, a second 8 to handle the mid-range and a third 12 or 15, depending on the model, to handle the low frequencies.
New high-frequency speaker
The X12 and X15 models are equipped with a brand new neodymium driver with a flat polyethylene membrane. This new driver, called Z38, was developed by the Wharfedale Pro team. The Z38 features high-frequency clarity for a more open stereo feel. The 100 x 70 waveguide is also rotatable, giving the Reason series extreme versatility whether in installation or on tour.
A warm and accurate mid and low end
The middle of the sound spectrum is handled by an 8 loudspeaker that delivers a warm and extremely accurate sound. In parallel, the 12 or 15 speaker, depending on the model, is equipped with a 3 coil and a 190mm ferrite magnet that allows for a round bottom end. The presence of these three speakers gives the Reason series models an absolutely outstanding frequency response.
A complete series with two subwoofers
The Reason series is completed with two subwoofers, one 1 x 18 and one 2 x 18 - a real war machine! The new speaker developed by the Wharfedale Pro team features a new system, NOMEX, for extreme suspension and durability.
