Description The Studio Grand marimbas have a 4.3-octave range of A2 to C7. The resonators are made of high-grade light aluminum tubing for a full and rich sound, coated with silver vein powder coating for scratch-resistant durability. The Studio Grand marimbas are available with (3) different bar materials: African Padauk (M240), Kelon (M240K), or Rosewood (M245). Standard tuning is to A = 442 Hz, alternate tunings are also available.
Features The M240 Studio Grand Marimba features wide graduated Padauk bars set in the A2-C7 note range. The marimba includes aluminum resonators with a durable silver vein powder coat for a full rich sound. Sitting on a handsome wood concert frame, the M240 is a great first full size marimba for the serious student.
