The EMI TG12345 Curve Bender equalizer celebrates the 75th anniversary of Abbey Road Studios. Based on the filters of the vintage EMI TG12345 console used by the Beatles and Pink Floyd, the Curve Bender was designed by Chandler Limited designer Wade Goeke and Abbey Road senior engineer Peter Cobbin. This new equalizer continues the tradition of EMI equalizers, including the RS56 produced in 1951 (christened the Curve Bender by EMI engineers), the TG12345 (1968), and the TG12412 (1974). This new version offers the ease of use and superb sound of the TG12345 equalizer, in a redesigned form factor perfect for today's applications.

While mixing several Beatles albums, including Anthology, Yellow Submarine, and Imagine, Peter Cobbin envisioned creating a comprehensive and extremely versatile version of the famous console's equalizers. So Wade created a four-band version, like the original, and Peter asked him to equip it with overlapping filters for more possibilities. Wade equipped the equalizer with 51 EQ frequencies (instead of the 9 of the Vintage version), a multiply button allowing 15 dB boosts/cuts (as well as a narrower bandwidth), filters, and a selector function (Baxendall/Bell filter) on the bass and treble bands. This exceptional equalizer emerges from the rich history of EMI and Abbey Road and is reborn in a modern format suitable for recording, mixing, and mastering applications. The rest is NEW EMI/Abbey Road history.
