Multi-instrumentalist Rex Brown is well known for working with legendary metal bands such as Pantera and Down, and for his hard rock solo album, Smoke on This... Epiphone is proud to release the first Epiphone Rex Brown signature model in partnership with the legendary musician. ‘Sometimes it's not about the price, it's about the quality, and Epiphone has some of the coolest bass designs ever made, in my opinion,’ says Rex Brown. ‘I've always had Thunderbirds! There's nothing cooler than a TBird.’ The Epiphone Rex Brown Thunderbird Bass features a 9-ply walnut and mahogany through-neck body with a C-shaped profile, mahogany body wings and a standard scale length of 86cm. It's powered by a pair of Epiphone ProBucker™ 760 bass pickups, whose nickel covers complement the otherwise all-gold hardware. The passive electronics feature two volume controls and a master tone control with smooth CTS® potentiometers. The gold pickguard features the famous Thunderbird logo, and Rex's signature is reproduced on the back of the headstock, while the rear control cover features a dedication from Rex Brown. A custom hard case is also included.
