Les Paul Standard 60s Blueberry Burst
Epiphone’s long-standing friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940, when Les built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. His first solidbody guitar, nicknamed "The Log," would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, widely considered the greatest electric guitar ever made.
The Les Paul Standard 60s models from the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson collection recreate the look, feel, and tone of early 1960s Les Pauls. They feature a mahogany body with a maple top, and models with translucent finishes include an additional AAA flame maple veneer visible through the finish for that classic "flame top" look. The mahogany neck is fitted with a laurel fretboard, pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a fast-playing 60s SlimTaper profile. The headstock is equipped with high-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut for rock-solid tuning stability—so you spend more time playing and less time tuning.
The Les Paul Standard 60s is powered by a perfectly balanced set of Epiphone Probucker pickups, with a slightly hotter Probucker 3 in the bridge position and a Probucker 2 in the neck. Each pickup is wired to its own individual set of volume and tone controls with CTS potentiometers. Available in a variety of attractive finishes and packaged with a premium gig bag, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s offers an authentic Les Paul playing experience at an accessible price.
