Designing amps is a quest for the perfect sound for the musician, something we have defined as “The Art of the Shadow.” It's not fixed and changes with technical developments and innovations, instruments, and musical styles. But watch any musician who finds the perfect sound, they squint, nod their head, or more often grimace: they've found THE SOUND. There are very few opportunities in life to be first. In the case of the global phenomenon that is heavy metal, the first heavy metal sound was created by Tony Iommi and amplified by Laney. We are extremely proud of our association with Tony Iommi and very happy to mark Black Sabbath's final concert with the announcement of a very limited, hand-signed and numbered reissue of his legendary signature amp, the Laney TI100.
