The Sling-Shock revolutionizes traditional shock mounts. We eliminated unreliable rubberized parts and bungee cords, creating a durable shock mount that provides exceptional isolation from vibration, rumble, and resonance. Our proprietary system, consisting of a non-resonant nylon cable and damped steel springs, isolates the microphone from stand-induced vibrations. These vibrations manifest as rumble and/or pop across the entire frequency range and are significantly reduced by using the Sling-Shock.
Sling-Shocks also eliminate the self-resonance that traditional shock mounts can generate in high-SPL applications, such as miking an electric guitar close to a microphone. This self-resonance creates harmonic interference at different frequencies; Sling-Shocks eliminate this problem. The Sling-Shock's superior vibration-reduction capabilities and lack of self-resonance allow recording engineers to record performances free of vibration-related interference across the entire bandwidth. A cable clamp is included with each Sling-Shock. Route a cable under the microphone, then secure it to the clamp to minimize vibration.
