Yamaha proudly announces the release of the YCM705 condenser microphone, designed for creatives seeking improved sound quality and greater expressiveness for music production, streaming, and home video recording. The company has consistently supported music production initiatives with a wide range of equipment, including the HS Series studio monitors and HPH-MT Series headphones. The YCM705 ensures accurate recording of the performance as it is, in line with our original "True Sound" philosophy.
The YCM705 features a condenser capsule utilizing two custom-designed 1-inch large diaphragms, which deliver excellent acoustic performance and sensitivity to the breathy sounds of vocals and the subtle nuances of instrumental playing. Additionally, it features an attenuator that can decrease the input gain in three levels (OFF, -10 dB, or -20 dB) for recording loud sources such as drums, as well as a switch to reduce the low frequencies contained in environmental sounds. Included accessories include a pop filter that effectively suppresses unwanted plosives when recording vocals. Finally, the exterior design captures the flowing curves of a wind instrument, just like the YDM dynamic microphone series, with the surface of the sturdy metal body coated with a matte paint to enhance its texture.
