SPL BiG - The stereo image processor for the 500 series
With BiG, SPL expands the 500 series product line with a dual module for stereo image processing.
BiG is special. BiG is unique. BiG redefines the width of the stereo.
BiG enlarges the stereo image in a new way and opens up new creative avenues for sound shaping. Intuitive with just three commands.
The RANGE command selects the range of frequencies to be processed.
The STAGE control moves this frequency range forward or backward in the stereo stage.
The huge BIGNESS control adjusts the intensity of the treatment.
Another highlight is the BASS function, which many users already know from the SPL IRON Mastering Compressor. This bass boost is created by a crossover, which is implemented in circuitry similar to the AirBass feature of the IRON.
All the components are installed on the printed circuits using Through-hole technology (components crossing the printed circuit), in order to be able to use the most efficient components.
Like all SPL devices, BiG is manufactured at the company's own production site in Niederkrüchten in Lower Rhine, Germany.
