1185: This shorter version of the Tosca low D bass clarinet allows for easier playing due to its reduced weight and bore length. Its bright, centred tone-colour, together with its Tosca bright Bb mechanism, let the musician play the entire bass clarinet repertoire with an exceptional feeling of freedom and confidence.
The past few years of work by experts and artists specialising in this instrument have culminated in several technical innovations unique to this model: a new thumb key system, a new articulated G# and a new switchable half-hole key.
1185R: on the strength of the success received from the extended lower body system on the Prestige bass clarinet BC1183R, this top-line clarinet enriches the current selection by offering all at once the Tosca bore with its dynamic and easy airflow along with the generous sound of a complete clarinet going down to low c.
This flexibility of use will satisfy all artistic trends from classical to contemporary, from jazz to traditional. All at once lightweight and powerful with its short configuration and Tosca Bb clear mechanism, this model makes it possible to play a low D (C by ear). With its long configuration, the BC1185R captures all the qualities of the current BC1195 TOSCA bass clarinet, ensuring for the musician the rich, incredibly homogenous sound indigenous to this model.
