Circuit is a study on glissandos: it allows exploring the full range of this gesture, from broad movement across the entire string to tight vibrato. The electronics, based on the cello's sounds, imitate, extend, and develop the slides into shifting and labyrinthine textures. It is also a small suite of movements with contrasting characters: one can find echoes of the viola da gamba repertoire.
