The EVANS E-Ring device is an external harmonic dampening ring that "floats" on drumheads. It helps eliminate unwanted harmonics, balance the sound, and facilitate tuning of the heads. Available in packs of 10, in 10", 12", 13", 14", 16", and 18" versions. Assorted E-Ring packs are available for the most common drum kit configurations.
