In 1985, KORG's DW-8000 combined digital wavetables with rich analog filters to offer users sounds impossible to create with analog oscillators. It remains a benchmark instrument to this day.
History
The modwave takes the DW's heritage and transforms it into a modern mega synth, featuring incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, beautiful filters, extremely flexible modulation, unrivalled polyphony, comprehensive pattern sequencing and an instantly satisfying control system to produce unique, powerful and easily customizable sounds and phrases.
Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0
Modwave pushes the limits of this synthesis modwave also introduces two unique new tools for creating dynamic movements.
Kaoss Physics combines a Kaoss x/y pad with modwave game physics to create a responsive, interactive controller that's not only powerful, but great fun to explore.
Motion Sequencing 2.0 brings the organic, evolving patterns of Wave Sequencing 2.0 from wavestate to the world of motion sequencing, with multiple channels and real-time recording to help you create complex, evolving phrases that other step sequencers can't.
60 voices of polyphony!
The new modwave mkII offers an astonishing 60 voices of polyphony - almost double the 32 voices of the original modwave, and an unprecedented number for a wavetable synth at any price.
In response to user requests, we've updated all LFOs with free-running, delayed start and retrigger options.
We've also added a pre/post switch for reverb sends, new modulation sources, and much more.
