All of our engineers are musicians, and they designed the R4 MultiTrak to enable other musicians to develop big ideas. With a single track dedicated to “bounce” (mixing down multiple tracks onto a single track) and 32-bit floating point recording, the R4 is perfect for capturing your most ambitious compositions.
With the R4, you can record up to four tracks, mix them, then bounce them onto the dedicated track for that reduction. This allows you to free up additional tracks to continue adding new layers. The R4 features a high-quality built-in microphone, perfect for acoustic guitars, vocals or for quick reference recording.
If necessary, you can also “undo” your last bounce to further mix your tracks or record new ones. No more worrying about clipping your audio signal. The R4 captures perfect sound with every shot, without the need for gain adjustment. The R4 has 2 mixed XLR/TS jack inputs with proven Zoom preamps. You can plug in microphones, instruments, keyboards, etc.
