Pas de deux for soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, and piano is inspired by the dance of the same name featured in several great classical ballets. This piece imitates the five-part structure of the Pas de deux. During the entrance, the two soloists enter the stage one after the other and then dance together during the adagio. The two variations that follow allow the soloists to express themselves alone for a moment, and finally, the dancers dance together again during the coda.
