Closed-back, circumaural headphones Featuring the Hi-X6 series' signature sound with a natural, full-range sound, the Hi-X60's closed-back, circumaural design is ideally suited for use in noisy environments, such as studios or live performances. The Hi-X60 is manufactured in Vienna, Austria, using the finest design and manufacturing processes. Perfect sound isolation, combined with a high-excursion driver, ensures an extremely clear soundstage that reveals every nuance and detail—sound characteristics appreciated by artists, sound engineers, and audiophiles. The closed-back design prevents sound from escaping and provides perfect isolation from external noise. During use, these features prevent the headphone sound from being picked up by the recording microphone.

By reducing all moving mass, the Hi-X60 delivers impressive dynamic characteristics and rapid response. The 44mm Hi-X driver, with its crisp transients and linear frequency response, reveals every nuance and timbre of sound. Space and time. The Hi-X60's wide sonic breadth is more akin to that of open-back headphones than closed-back headphones. This characteristic is partly achieved by designing a spacious earcup while maintaining a relatively small external dimension. The memory foam ear cushions are a redesign of older models, and the acoustic barrier that encloses the earcup is doubled to ensure that as little sound as possible can escape into the environment or enter the internal soundstage from outside. The memory foam padding of the headband has a clever cutout for the contour of the head, radically reducing contact pressure. In practice, remarkable comfort and an optimal fit allow for fatigue-free work sessions, even during very time-consuming audio projects.
