Beschrijving

The Chandler Limited REDD.47 microphone preamp is a recreation of the original line-level tube amp found on the EMI REDD.51, the legendary recording consoles used at Abbey Road Studio between 1959 and 1968. The EMI REDD.47 line-level amplifier was designed as a central component of the EMI REDD.51 recording console. It was used to amplify all stages of the audio chain (mic inputs, line inputs, effects sends, and monitor outputs). The REDD.47 has an instantly recognizable punchy and aggressive character that can be found on Abbey Road productions released between 1964 and 1968, including many Beatles tracks.

The Chandler Limited REDD.47 microphone preamp offers many advantages over the original design, including increased gain that allows for a wide range of tonal options, from perfectly clean grain to a classic rich, overdriven sound, with 2% harmonic distortion before clipping. The Chandler Limited REDD.47 preamp easily reproduces the distortion heard on the Beatles' "Revolution." The Chandler Limited REDD.47 tube preamp delivers the legendary sound of the Holy Grail of preamps, Abbey Road Studios, with additional capabilities that allow it to integrate into today's studios.
