From its launch in the early 2000s, the Catalina Club series quickly became a best-seller. This was a "first" for the brand, as the sets were for the first time manufactured outside the USA with mahogany drums - yet true to tradition and at a great price. The series combines traditional configurations and classic sound with elegant, modern hardware design. 7-ply mahogany drums produce warm, punchy vintage sounds, while the 14" bass drum offers classic Gretsch depth. The 30° chamfer and hardware elements give the series the unmistakable "Gretsch Flair" - the Catalina Club series is a tribute to the tradition-rich brand - while remaining modern and functional.
