Solid State Logic's UF8 is a studio DAW controller, specifically designed for today's production workflows requiring very high responsiveness. This 8-channel controller, capable of working with 3 additional UF8s to drive up to 32 channels, connects producers, artists and sound engineers directly to their production, giving them complete control over their workflow.

Compatible with the largest DAWs on the market, such as ProTools, Ableton Live, Logic or Cubase, the UF8 has 8 slices, each of them presenting a high definition LCD screen, an endless encoder identical to that fitted to AWS SSLs and Duality, and a touch-sensitive motorized 100mm fader. New CHANNEL and PLUG-IN control modes provide an improved workflow for those using the UF8 with Pro Tools, with easy access to sends and plug-ins without hampering your creativity.

Designed to optimize your work in the studio, the UF8 allows you to simultaneously control several DAWs thanks to the 3 available layers, and has a main Channel rotary encoder allowing you to navigate the DAW timeline, track banks, and d emulate the mouse for fast and precise control. It also offers dedicated automation sections and dual function select keys, giving quick access to selected functions. In total, no less than 43 keys can be assigned to your DAWs, via 5 banks of 8 user keys, supplemented by 3 quick access keys.

Although the 8 slices and numerous customizable keys available on a UF8 already offer extensive control possibilities over your workflow, some large projects require even more control. Aware of this, SSL has thought of everything while allowing the chaining, via USB link, of up to 4 UF8s in a row in order to obtain up to 32 slices and 172 customizable buttons for your most ambitious projects! To save USB ports on your computer, each UF8 has a THRU port to link machines and consume only one USB port on your computer.

360° control
The SSL 360° software, downloadable from the SSL website, is the preferred administration solution for your UF8, allowing you to map a DAW on each layer, modify shortcuts and advanced options.

A wide selection of compatible DAWs
The UF8 is compatible with all major DAWs and includes workflow templates for Ableton®Live™, Cubase™/Nuendo™, Pro Tools®, Logic Pro®, Studio One®, LUNA™ and Pyramix™. Many producers and engineers prefer to spread their creative process across multiple DAWs. The UF8 offers all professionals unique flexibility and promotes SSL's "open policy" on DAWs, allowing simultaneous control of 3 different DAWs and maintaining an agile production and mixing process.
