Originally designed to be integrated into API consoles of the 60s and 70s, this re-release of the 560 API is a unique tool designed to tackle tasks that no other EQ can accomplish. It delivers that special API sound, simple precision filtering and plenty of headroom at low volume. Extremely quick to adjust and reset thanks to the central detents, the potential for tonal creation is unrivaled. At home on mobile as well as in the studio, this “new-old” version is a reissue of the original 560 with an improvement in resolution in the critical ±4 dB region. Featuring exclusive API circuitry and proprietary components such as the legendary API 2520 op-amp, the 550B skillfully blends the past and the present.
