With 7" woofers, a dedicated 4" midrange driver and HEDD's own High Definition Air Motion Transformer (HEDD AMT), this compact and extremely flexible 3-way system delivers plenty of power, dynamic and open even at very high levels. It can be used in the near and midfield and is suitable for literally every challenge imaginable in the studio, whether it's mixing, production, recording art or deep mastering.
Just like the other MK2 models, the TYPE 20 MK2 is a powerhouse of innovation: a powerful SHARC-DSP enables the built-in Lineariser® to completely flatten the loudspeaker phase and create fascinating stereo imaging and depth. Additionally, the speaker supports our latest Closed or Ported (CoP) technology. You can choose between two distinct sound options: to enjoy maximum precision and detail, insert the custom foam plugs into the bass port and choose closed mode. For the ability to run the speakers at higher volumes and maintain low bass energy and access, "Open" (no jacks) is the way to go.
Other great features include 3 separate desktop filters, 2 Shelving filters to further tailor the speakers to your room, and a Bass-Extension mode that lets you access even lower frequency areas (at the price of some SPLs). All of the new line's controls are accessed via stepped aluminum potentiometers.
