A legend. Sharing the design of the acclaimed original Focusrite ISA 110 mic preamp module from the "Studio" console, the ISA 828 MkII incorporates eight of Focusrite's classic mic preamps. Featuring a Lundahl LL1538 transformer on each input, each channel has the option of mic or line input, while inputs 1-4 also feature a front panel instrument jack. Each mic preamp benefits from variable input impedance, to provide a range of sonic options when using microphones, with even an 'ISA 110' setting, which replicates the impedance of the original Focusrite mic preamp .
To die for! The gain range is mind-blowing; Up to 60dB of gain with an additional +20dB of continuously variable compensation, delivering a whopping 80dB. The high-pass filter features a variable cut-off frequency between 16 and 420 Hz. With its high-pass filters, six-segment LED indicators - calibratable per channel - and a switchable "insert" from the front panel allow the ISA 828 MkII the use of processors, at line level, such as compressors or equalizers.
Swiss army knife. Dedicated connectors for mic and line level inputs allow all manner of sources to be connected simultaneously, making the ISA 828 MkII perfect for permanent installation in a rack. New to the ISA 828 MkII: a switch-mode power supply provides improved efficiency, reduced heat generation, and extremely reliable, quiet operation. The optional AN ISA ADN8 expansion card distills eight outputs to Dante, ADAT and AES3 protocols at rates up to 24-bit/192kHz.
