Essential Information About the Manuel Rodriguez MAGISTRAL E-C Guitar

  • Fully solid 4/4 classical: solid cedar top, solid walnut back and sides for a rich response and beautiful projection.

  • High-end craftsmanship in Madrid: handmade guitars following the tradition of the Manuel Rodriguez workshop, active since 1905.

  • Modern comfort: genuine cedro neck with ebony reinforcements and a flatter D-shaped profile, easier to handle over time.

  • Premium finishes and details: Spanish heel, GEWA armrest installed in the workshop, "Moreno" 12-hole bridge, and gold-plated tuners.

A prestigious classical guitar in the Manuel Rodriguez lineage

Part of the MAGISTRAL E series, the Manuel Rodriguez MAGISTRAL E-C continues the tradition of Spain's second oldest guitar workshop, with artisanal manufacturing in Madrid since 1905. Luthier Manuel Rodriguez III brings a cosmopolitan approach blending Spanish heritage with contemporary demands, resulting in a high-end classical guitar designed for both musicality and reliability.

For which guitarists and styles?

This 4/4 classical guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive, precise, and comfortable instrument. It is particularly suited for the classical repertoire, Spanish music pieces, and modern arrangements where a full sound, rich basses, and clear articulation are desired. Its armrest and flatter neck profile enhance comfort during long practice sessions and performances.

Sound characteristics

The solid cedar top provides immediate attack and natural warmth, with excellent touch sensitivity for nuances and legato playing. The solid walnut back and sides balance the spectrum: defined lows, present mids, and singing highs, while maintaining clear polyphonic articulation. The construction with a genuine Spanish heel contributes to efficient vibration transmission, while the nut and compensated saddle promote tuning accuracy and comfort, especially in higher positions.

Recommended compatible accessories

This MAGISTRAL E-C comes with Hannabach 815HTC Silver Special strings (high tension) with a carbon treble string. To preserve playability and tonal balance, prefer high tension classical strings of the same gauge when replacing.
