Essential Information About the Fender American Professional II Precision Bass Guitar

  • V-Mod II Split Pickup: the authentic "P-Bass" sound, more precise, punchy, and defined than ever.

  • '63 P Bass Neck: rounded fretboard edges, "Super-Natural" satin finish, and sculpted heel for maximum comfort.

  • HiMass Vintage Bridge string-through or top-load: enhanced sustain, attack, and tuning stability.

  • Pro Reliability: Posiflex graphite reinforcement rods, vintage-style knurled shaft tuners, and bone nut.

The Precision Bass, a Modernized Icon

Born from the first electric bass standards, the Precision has become the studio and stage reference. The American Professional II carries on this heritage with meticulous craftsmanship and targeted improvements for today's musicians: redesigned ergonomics, optimized electronics, and finishes designed for performance.

For Whom and Which Styles?

Versatile and immediate under the fingers, this P-Bass suits intermediate to professional bassists seeking a reliable line both live and in the studio. Rock, pop, soul, funk, indie, blues, or urban music: its dense tone and responsive dynamics fit everywhere, from powerful rhythm sections to subtle grooves.

The Sound

The V-Mod II Split Single-Coil pickup delivers the characteristic meaty midrange and "growl," with solid lows and clear highs. The simple Volume/Tone controls provide a wide palette, from warm "tone rolled off" sounds to sharp "tone open" attack. The alder body offers balance and projection, while the HiMass Vintage bridge and string-through option increase sustain and definition. The maple neck/rosewood fretboard combination adds warmth and natural note articulation.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Delivered in a deluxe molded case, it thrives with a set of 34" / 864 mm long scale nickel-plated steel strings .045-.105 (equivalent to Fender 7250M original). Add a wide strap for stage comfort, a quality 6.35 mm jack cable, and a stable bass stand for security at home or in the studio.

Use
Impeccable service, purchase made online. This specification was the only one available at the time of my purchase on all online sales sites. Available only in store in Paris, I was contacted by phone to specify the purchase, shipping, etc. modalities... After the online order. Ultra fast shipping, super well packed. After unpacking, my first impressions of the game are that this bass is ultra comfortable and very very easy to play, the neck is absolutely comfortable, having only had jazz basses I had a little apprehension. In terms of sound I mainly use it with an ampeg preamp di to record DUB, Reggae compositions and 70's style lines with a pick. The sound is spectacular, nice and round and very defined it fills its frequency range well for DUB and the rest, no need to bring out the sound in the mix by artifices. Thanks again to the Woodbrass Paris team, it's perfect.... (Show more)
