DARK RAY 4
Designed in collaboration with Darkglass Electronics, a world-renowned bass accessory manufacturer, the DarkRay offers an entirely new range of sonic possibilities.
At the heart of every instrument is its tone: inside this case, a new modern 2-band equalizer preamplifier was designed by Darkglass specifically for the DarkRay. This preamp offers three modes with very distinct and useful sounds: Clean, Alpha (distortion), and Omega (fuzz). The two distortion circuits are fully mixable via an integrated gain knob and a blend control adjusted according to the user's preferences. It is possible to achieve an amazingly clear sound, a slight gain, or a brutal fuzz tone, all without loss in the low frequencies. A bright LED ring and a 3-way toggle switch indicate the mode in which the bass is set.
The brand new DarkRay is a true Stingray Special with its neodymium humbucking pickup, roasted maple neck, comfortable contoured body, 22 stainless steel frets, and the familiar 3+1 headstock configuration.

ROASTED NECK

5-BOLT NECK
THE NECK IS ATTACHED WITH A 5-BOLT JOINT, ENSURING PERFECT ALIGNMENT AND NO OFFSET. A SPECIAL DARKGLASS LOGO IS APPLIED TO THE NECK PLATE TO INDICATE THAT THIS IS A DARKRAY EDITION BASS.
