I trusted most of the reviews on the net and I don't regret it! Whether it's sound, finish, playability, etc... delivered pretty well set up, and (almost) tuned... (with good strings too, D'Addario apparently)... I opened the back cover to put batteries in order to test the active side of the thing and, surprise, there were two 9V batteries already installed! Honestly, I've tested much nastier basses that were much more expensive. To start or for a "battle" bass that fears nothing, don't hesitate!

As a beginner, this is a very nice product. Beautiful finish. Possibility of passive or active modes. The pot adjustments allow for many sound possibilities. Sound is round and not too metallic. A cover is to be optionally mounted on the neck side pickup but the pre-drilled holes for the screws are not present. If needed, it should be done by a specialist to avoid damaging the finish when drilling.
