With its sharp look and active electronics, the Vampyre 4 is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists playing rock, metal, punk, hard rock, as well as modern styles requiring definition and dynamics. The 24-fret playability and long scale facilitate chordal playing, aggressive slap, and tighter tunings.
The MEC J (neck) and MEC Twin Jazz (bridge) pickup pair delivers a wide spectrum: solid and precise lows, biting mids, and bright highs for presence in the mix. The RockBass active EQ (Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble) allows quick adjustment of the low end for warmth or accentuating attack to cut through a wall of guitars. The alder body provides natural balance, the wenge fingerboard enhances attack and clarity, while the Warwick 2-piece bridge and Just-A-Nut III nut optimize sustain, intonation, and fine tuning.
