Very good 5-string at an unbeatable price for this quality. I hesitated for a long time between this one and the Yamaha TRBX 305 but having had the chance to test the MM at its release, I found its EQ above the Yamaha, less "common". However, beware! It is not WoodBrass who sends it to you but its importer and it goes through the pseudo carrier GLS. This carrier (charlatan) is a calamity, the shame of the profession. Then, it is really a 5-string but it does not weigh up to my "carry everywhere" bass, the basic 4-string Squier (the one sold in a pack that we all mistakenly buy), surprising. The batteries, as there are 2 of 9v, are supplied, easily accessible. You also have the adjustment keys that will be useful, don't doubt it! However, no manual for the pots but you can easily find it on the sire-usa website ;) I still give it some time to get used to its new home but for the moment it has a quarter tone offset at the 12th fret but no untimely buzzing (taking into account the new strings and frets). The active/passive difference is clear and frank and moreover in passive you do not hear at all the influence of certain pots... You can have a very round or a very bright sound, big and deep bass or on the contrary very discreet. And if behind you have an amp with EQ, your possibilities become almost infinite. Otherwise the neck is super pleasant to play, the B is easy to access quite far into its highs. It is very balanced and will easily adapt to all hands. However a small precision anyway, its body is quite "small" and will perfectly suit small builds (1m75) but could be a bit uncomfortable for taller ones, well just have to play standing up ;)...
