When the coil tap switch is in the Neck position, the coil tap is activated. When the coil tap switch is in the Bridge position, the coil tap is deactivated. When the coil tap switch is off and the pickup selector is in the neck position, the neck pickup is selected. When the selector is in the middle position, both neck and bridge pickups are selected. When the selector is in the bridge position, the bridge pickup is selected.
When the coil tap is activated and the pickup selector is in the neck position, the bridge side of the neck pickup is selected. When the selector is in the middle position, the bridge side of the neck pickup and the neck side of the bridge pickup are selected. When the selector is in the bridge position, the neck side of the bridge pickup is selected.

When holding the guitar in playing position, a three-way pickup selector is located near the knee cut on the lower part of the body. There is a push/pull volume knob that also controls the Fishman Fluence voicing function, as well as a coil tap switch and a tone knob towards the edge of the body. When the volume knob is down, Fluence voice 1 is engaged. With the volume knob up, Fluence voice 2 is engaged.
