Before this purchase, I was already an Orange customer (after testing many brands). To make this review coherent, you should also know that I play melodic doom/stoner mixed with vintage rock (Monolord, Led Zeppelin, The Cult, Black Sabbath...). I bought this TH 30 head because it has 4 preamp tubes and smaller heads only have 3. A difference that matters a lot: I don't like playing with distortion or overdrive pedals because I like natural saturation and in my style, it needs to be powerful. And in this precise configuration, this TH30 head is just a marvel. I play with an ESP Viper 7-string (Japan) fitted with a custom Bare Knuckle Hot Dog set and the sound is magnificent. All the harmonics and wood nuances come out like never before. Another big advantage: the ability to adjust power with a 4 or 2 tube switch at the back, then full or half on the front. This allows playing at home as well as in rehearsal or on stage without losing much saturation. If you play clean, consider adding the footswitch (optional), otherwise, you only have 3 control knobs, which is more than enough. In my effects loop: an Orange boost pedal (Two Stroke), a marvel, and a Laney reverb. In terms of build, you get Orange excellence: robustness and vintage elegance. I even tested this head with a low-end guitar (my younger brother's), and what comes out is impressive. I spent years searching for what this TH30 Orange brings me. I'm not ready to change it anytime soon.

This amp is really what I was looking for, the only small downside is that the clean is more powerful than the distortion but that's not a problem, you just turn down the guitar side and everything is set.
