Positioned at the pinnacle of Adam Audio's "main" monitoring lineup, the S6X embodies a no-compromise approach to directivity control, dynamics, and fidelity. Its front panel uses Alucore panels to optimize mechanical coupling between transducers and baffle, ensuring precision in the low end and image stability. This design follows the tradition of the brand's high-end studio systems, alongside top-tier models intended for spacious control rooms.
The S6X is aimed at large control rooms, cinema studios, post-production, and mastering facilities that demand full-scale listening capable of revealing micro-details while maintaining exceptional SPL headroom. Its controlled dispersion and three-dimensional soundstage facilitate the evaluation of placements, phase, and complex orchestral ensembles.
The symmetrical horizontal layout, combined with optimized slopes and crossover frequencies (85 / 800 / 3100 Hz), equalizes off-axis response and reduces primary reflections from the floor, ceiling, or console, delivering a precise image on the central axis.
Each channel has its dedicated module: 2x 500 W for the 12'' woofers and multiple 250 W modules for the midrange and high sections. Peaks well beyond 130 dB are delivered without harshness, even at long listening distances.
In addition to adjustable input sensitivity of +/- 10 dB, the S6X offers shelving filters at the spectrum extremes and three parametric EQ bands that can be inserted separately or together to compensate for room modes and placement.
Alucore panels stiffen the baffle and stabilize transient response. X-ART drivers dedicated to midrange and high frequencies ensure fast and detailed reproduction, with extension up to 50 kHz.
