I wanted to change my bass amp setup, having been affiliated for many years with well-known Italian brand equipment, I have always searched for my sound. I added pedals, preamps... Nothing satisfied me. My choice fell on this Ampeg 410HLP Heritage speaker powered by an Ampeg V4B head. Out of the box, the speaker is impressive, thanks to the wheels and the carrying bar for moving it. Its size inevitably reminds us of a well-known household appliance, now just plug in the beast. A US CS Jazzbass plugged into the Ampeg V4B head: gain at 1pm, tone all at 12pm and master at 11am and there ?? the big slap in the ears ?? deep bass, present mids, what a sound!! Exactly the one that matches the image of what I wanted, precision and transparency of what is asked to come out. It is difficult to distinguish the two elements in this setup because the union is really top for me. Coming back to the Heritage speaker, the US manufacturing side reassures me a lot about the build quality. You plug the jack in, you feel it's serious. There will be no false contact on that side. It's robust. Obviously, its weight is not negligible compared to modern speakers with neodymium drivers, but switching from one to the other, I do not regret my choice, I will adapt for transport. I will not go into more technical details, others have already done so, you either like or dislike the Ampeg sound, meanwhile I think I will really stand out in the mix with it and make my drummer's ears perk up. To conclude, I am very satisfied with my purchase and having been able to get it quickly thanks to Woodbrass ??

Excellent!
Warm, deep bass but firm and precise. Very well-designed bass-reflex speaker that explores the low and sub-bass range with exemplary control and respect for timbres. Meanwhile, the compression chamber allows continuous adjustment of the upper harmonics to adapt to all styles, without any aggressiveness and without compromising the vintage character of the sound, if that is the desired goal.
This speaker forms an ideal pair with the V4b head.
Despite its weight, which is not excessive by the way, this speaker remains manageable thanks to its large rear wheels (which even allow climbing stairs!), its side handles, and its rear bar (see photo).
An investment I do not regret.
