It is perfect for voice recording, not bad for a pre-mix, maybe a bit too harsh on the highs, but honestly, it is still quite precise and fairly neutral. I have several headphones like the dt770, I use this AKG for voice recording, however, for mixing, I rather use the dt770 which is more detailed, but for the price, this headphone is great.
