Hi! I unwrapped my gift last night and tested it this morning.. And yes, the sound is not great, only trebles.. This headset needs to be broken in with a bit of volume and the bass turned up. It took a few hours during the day.. And tonight the sound is very good in the mids and trebles. The bass is more discreet. I also have Beyer and can therefore compare. In short, pleasantly surprised. There is a YouTube video that convinced me.. The break-in, I didn't really believe in it at first ;) Very comfortable headset and plenty of room for big ears...

Very comfortable. I can hardly compare to an HD480 that is 30 years old and a wired Marshall Major headset that produced mushy bass... With the K-702, I rediscover the pleasure of spending time working on tracks.

Really cheap for a headset of this sound quality, super detailed, very flat curve. Recommended for people who want to mix but don't have a well-soundproofed room. Some reviews complain about the bass not being present enough, frankly with a good amp I find it just perfect and more detailed than I would have imagined at this level. Only negative point: the construction and materials feel a bit cheap, but personally I prefer a compromise at this level rather than on audio quality.

Very good headphones, I am neither a professional nor an intensive audiophile, but what I can tell you is that the AKG k702 is very good whether in the highs, mids, or lows. Be careful, at first you might feel it lacks bass, but you quickly realize that it's actually the cheaper headphones that tend to be way too bass-heavy. In terms of comfort, it is very pleasant to wear, a bit painful on the top of the head but I think it's just the time it takes to soften, since I had tried it at a friend's place and had no problem. Its open design is very pleasant. However, it may seem a bit fragile, especially around the headbands, but at the same time it is not made to be bent and carried around all the time... In short, an excellent headphone for a very reasonable price, I recommend it!!! PS: kudos to Woodbrass, very fast delivery :)

Very good headphones bought following the various testimonials I read on the net! I was looking for quality headphones simply for listening and not for mixing, mastering, etc... Very neutral sound, the first listen may seem flat and cold, but this is absolutely no longer the case after a few minutes of "adaptation"! At first, I had the impression of a lack of bass, but in reality, it was my previous headphones that boosted them. Here they are defined and wonderfully reproduce the bass lines! In terms of mids and highs, it's total bliss! The voices are very clear and detailed, nothing like my previous headphones. The spatialization is magnificent, you feel the depth more or less distant of the instruments, the slightest breath of the singer, the slightest slide on the guitar strings! Really incredible! However, be careful, this can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. The slightest recording quality defect is immediately felt. A point to consider and not to be overlooked. I have read articles where some people say that the sound is good on smartphone, tablet or original PC sound card... Personally, I recommend a reliable source with a quality output, or complemented with a DAC/headphone amplifier if necessary. I tested on phone, tablet and original laptop PC headphone outputs... It's not worth it... the output level is too limited and does not do justice to the K702. I listened on a 2nd generation Focusrite 2i2, the headphones start to restore the body they have. I was really impressed, but you can feel that the K702 still has more to give. But where I really enjoyed it was on the Audiophile ASUS STX II sound card. The sound gains weight and presence! It's really with this kind of sound card that the K702 gives its full potential. And there, my friends, what a pleasure! (I know, I repeat myself) If you are a music lover, these headphones are made for you. These headphones really require a quality source, and I insist on this point. Because at this price, if it's to connect it to a questionable source, move on! At the same time, it's logical, you don't equip a Ferrari with cheap Norauto tires! One last thing, these headphones are open, so for listening in a quiet place and preferably alone, because your neighbor will enjoy your listening, even at low volume. I hope I haven't forgotten anything and that my review will be useful to you! Musically

This headset is one of the best in its category, alongside Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, and others. In the under 300 euros sector, obviously... Why an AKG K702? Advice from a friend and some specialized sites. After trying "open" and "closed" headphones, my choice settled on this model that Woodbrass was selling at a very interesting price. A few hours of listening confirmed my choice. A bit of break-in should further improve the listening pleasure. Clear mids, clarity in the highs, bass present but not overpowering. Perfect for me. Bought after listening to a K240MKII model, already quite good. Better bass reproduction, without heaviness, very comfortable, even after several hours. No feeling of confinement. "Automatic" head circumference adjustment, wide and comfortable leather headband, good cable length and especially detachable and replaceable cable. No obvious defects noticed, to be seen over time regarding the durability of the internal wiring. Careful construction, beautiful finishes and nice materials.

I chose it to listen to my hi-fi system. I am not satisfied because this headset does not work for more than 3 weeks without any side failing, and despite a replacement by Woodbrass who is very competent, the headset still has this defect. Apart from a very pleasant sound, I do not recommend this product because of its build quality.

Comfort level is just right. Fits all head sizes, even with glasses no discomfort. This open-back headset allows, if you have a moderate listening level, to stay connected with your surroundings without missing a single note. It is a very linear headset, without a preferred sound domain, it reproduces every sound accurately. If by chance you connect it to the right source, then it's ecstasy. The best for me is the "Sound BlasterX G5" connected via SPDIF optical fiber, this little box then allows this headset to gain all its nobility. The sound becomes magical. It is an exceptional "made in china" product with or without digital amplifier, its quality-price ratio is unbeatable.

Excellent headphones! I ordered it to replace a Beyer DT770 Pro 80ohms that disappointed me a lot and I am thrilled! The entire sound spectrum is perfectly reproduced. I finally have headphones that meet my expectations! These headphones are open-back, so they are not recommended for recording. Incredible. Simply incredible. Bought for my girlfriend to use with her digital piano, I tested it out of curiosity on my computer with my sound card. I'm rediscovering my music. It is incredible. And I tried a few headphones before, like the Beyerdynamic DT-770, or the Sennheiser PC 350, but here... With a good sound card and properly encoded tracks (FLAC minimum!) it's simply amazing. An incredible soundstage width, precise sounds, bass that isn't boomy as is the trend, but precise and defined, excellent comfort... In short, an investment, but a very good investment! I recommend it with my eyes closed!
