As clearly evokes its title, this method teaches the basics of bass chord, a technique a priori accessory but essential for many bassists. So, after some practical advice, you will get to the heart of the matter with a first chapter dedicated to "double stops" (major and minor). The second one, dedicated to the triads (chords with 3 sounds: major, minor, diminished), is followed by a third chapter, entirely dedicated to the tétrades this time (chords with 4 sounds: 7, maj7, m7, m7b5). Finally, the last chapter will allow you to calmly approach the notion of harmonization. Each type of chord presented here is obviously put into practice with specific exercises, but also and especially fully musical examples ... so that the technique is always at the service of music, not the other way around. On the disc attached to the method you will find several audio and video files. The videos (mp4) present in images the multiple grooves as they are to be played, at normal speed then in slow motion. The "technical" exercises are, for their part, offered at a suitable speed, only a recording exposes them in video. The audio recordings (mp3), meanwhile, offer playbacks corresponding to multiple grooves, again at two different tempi.
