I also work with a Vandoren B40 Lyre mouthpiece on a Yamaha YCL 250 Bb clarinet: with the M30 I can use stronger reeds without needing to scrape them too much: I use Vandoren force 2.5, according to the manufacturer they are a bit weak for this mouthpiece but they suit me well, to each their own! However, the sound is less "rich" than with the B40.
