The body of the Primero cajons is constructed from MDF, a medium-density fiberboard that creates a solid and durable resonating chamber. Its surface plate is made of cherry wood, a hardwood with a fine grain and wavy streaks. Due to its hardness, the tone of cherry is close to that of maple, and when used on a cajon, it provides deeper sounds.
