If you are a fan of the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cartridge/stylus pair but want an even punchier bass sound, JICO has the product for you! With the IMPACT cartridge, JICO was inspired by the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cartridges and diamonds, while making modifications to the cartridge to offer a sound even richer in bass, ideal for DJs mixing in clubs.
On this Impact SD, JICO integrated an IMPACT moving magnet cartridge of their own design, offering a sound close to the M44-7, combined with an N44-7 SD stylus. This stylus features a precisely crafted tubular aluminum Type S cantilever designed to closely match Shure cantilevers, paired with a synthetic nude (bare) diamond, providing excellent guidance in the vinyl groove and increased resistance to skipping, while delivering high-definition audio quality.
A high-quality synthetic diamond.
The SD range, for Synthetic Diamonds, uses synthetic diamonds instead of natural diamonds. Artificially created, these synthetic diamonds share the same optical and physical properties as a natural diamond, while offering very consistent performance at a controlled cost. Thanks to a diamond tip with an adjusted diameter and a new cantilever damping system, synthetic diamonds are capable of delivering a pleasant and precise sound, more defined than a glued natural diamond, while maintaining a lifespan exceeding 200 hours.
A model optimized for DJs.
This complete kit offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds very close to authentic Shure cartridges, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The tracking force has been increased, from 1.5g for the Shure model to 3.5 - 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding sessions. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model features a protective flap that folds over the stylus to prevent any harmful friction.
