The Japanese brand JICO has worked hard to offer audiophiles and DJs a replacement solution for the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cartridges and styluses, true legends that have marked the history of Hip-Hop and scratching. On this Omnia J44A-7 DJ SD, JICO has integrated a J44A-7 SD moving magnet cartridge, offering performance equivalent to the Shure M44-7 cartridges of the time, with powerful bass and a smooth, balanced sound.
The N44-7 SD stylus, with its Type S tubular aluminum cantilever precisely crafted to closely match Shure cantilevers, combined with a nude synthetic integral diamond, provides excellent guidance in the vinyl groove and increased resistance to skipping, while delivering high-definition audio quality.

The SD range, standing for Synthetic Diamonds, uses synthetic diamonds instead of natural diamonds. Artificially created, these synthetic diamonds share the same optical and physical properties as a natural diamond, while offering very consistent performance at a controlled cost. Thanks to a diamond tip with an adjusted diameter and a new cantilever damping system, synthetic diamonds are capable of delivering a pleasant and precise sound, more defined than a glued natural diamond, while maintaining a lifespan exceeding 200 hours.

The tracking force has been increased, from 3g for the Shure model to 3.5 - 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding sessions. And to protect the stylus under all circumstances, this model features a protective flap that folds over the stylus to prevent any harmful friction.
