A good flanger pedal for a modest price. The settings are effective and impactful across the entire range of the knobs. Works well with both clean and distorted sounds. However, be aware that there is a slight volume increase when the pedal is engaged. But this does not affect the overall playing experience.

Until the launch of the new TC Electronic range of pedals in October 2016, this brand was financially inaccessible to me. When I saw (and heard online) demos and the description of the Thunderstorm Flanger, I went for it. Pure analog sound, true bypass: on my classical and folk guitar, all on a Bugera V2 tube amp, the sound is pure and warm. Nothing like the (digital) flanger of my Vox Stomplab G2 (which I really like for its chorus and distortions, phaser, etc.). The big knobs are very precise, and with a nimble foot, due to their size you can adjust them. With feedback pushed to the max, there is some noise, which is understandable. The packaging, manufacturing, and manual are a model for this price. Everything is steel. Made in China for the price, but the design and especially all the know-how of TC Electronic are from Denmark. Personally, I don't use it on battery (9V, choose a 200 mAh NiMH to be safe) but on adapter + neutral - 500 mAh and it's guaranteed happiness. Absolute success!
