These 6 new piano pieces are inspired by the collection of poems Kobzar by Taras Shevchenko (1814-1861), the most important Ukrainian writer-poet. His stories depict the history of Ukraine, its splendor and its dark pages; the theme remains disturbing even today.
This opus is of profound maturity, with very rich, intense, expressive, and epic music.
