Very beautiful guitar, Manufactured with HYPER care in China, nothing sticks out. I wanted a "Folk" guitar with a more "round" sound than steel strings. I already had a mini Cordoba. And I usually play on a Taylor (which means the bar is quite high from the start) Tuning is done without any problem thanks to the built-in tuner The feel is surprising because the neck is downright huge and when I say square it's really square. The first reaction is to immediately put it back in its pretty box and send it back... impossible to play with such a plank in the left hand Then, ... to send it back, since it is written in the small print that you have to pay for the return, given the price of the guitar, that cools you down! The second surprise when coming from folk is the softness of the strings: D'addario Pro Arte is a new brand of laundry strings, or what? I immediately ordered the Extra-Hard model from the same manufacturer with a titanium core on the 4th string, because the problem is there, on the 4th string 3 bass strings wrapped in silver, which give a perfect depth, we are very happy ... and bam: 4th string in pure Nylon, sudden APHONIA. But that was the very first impression... "Unboxing!" After a few days, of course, the playing adapts. But I can't wait to see what it sounds like with harder strings... 3rd surprise: Takamine does not put marks on its frets. It's not Fretless, but PointLess, orientation race without a compass... Well, the 3rd fret is roughly where it is, the 12th at the edge of the body, but for the 5th and 7th, when you only know 3 chords, it already becomes a big guess (But how do violinists do it?) Since I decided to keep it, I decided to customize it By putting a white sticker on frets 5, 7, and 12 (the rest comes naturally) And by adding a second body attachment at the top of the neck to hold the guitar as I like, very close to the heart. IN SHORT: It's a classical guitar! on which you can play Folk but it is not a Folk guitar. (For bends, you should be able to raise by a 1/3 of a half-quarter tone by pulling like crazy the 2nd string 2 or 3 times around the neck :-) For the sound, it's Nylon, so warmer, rounder, but much less rich than metal The body power is average. About as much as the Mini Cordoba which has a body twice as small (but with strings twice as tight) Very pretty, pleasant to play (you get used to the hyper-neck) It is worth its price ... but no more. I have not tested the pickup. I am eagerly awaiting the result of the string change.
