I had been coveting this preamp pedal for a while and I am not disappointed with this purchase! First to arrive to reconfigure my pedal board, I switch to the preamp configuration to drive two neutral amps and play in stereo with the Boss stereo space echo at the end of the loop. The tone of this preamp is really warm, it is very close to the JCM 800, even if it is not an 800. The output level is very powerful and when you push the gain a bit too much, a noise that can be disturbing appears. I set the gain of the saturated channel to 4, EQ rather flat and I get a rock tone reminiscent of AC/DC or other very classic rock sounds that I like whether with the Strat or the Les Paul. I placed my drive master before this pedal and I get a more compressed sound like a 900 when hitting the clean channel, very interesting. The choice of boost pre or post is clever, placed pre it allows me to boost the drive master in solo before hitting the clean channel. The DI output is amazing directly into a mixing console if you don't want to carry an amp for your small concerts or studio recordings even if nothing beats a real speaker... I will now get the deluxe 65' combo and the DC30 to vary the sound options, convinced by the quality of these TC products
