A double bass mute that perfectly fulfills its role: muffling the sound. Obviously, the tone is not as round as without it, but for practicing in the evening, it is entirely suitable (at night, the volume is still just right). Nothing to do with orchestra mutes, which are almost ineffective on our large instrument). Just one complaint: as visible in the photo, the mute gets dirty very quickly and is not a "perfect jet black."
